The concept of Runaways is extremely simple: Kids always think that their parents are evil, so what would happen if their parents really were, capital E, Evil. The series starts with the introduction of six characters: Alex the brain; Chase the jock; Nico the Goth; Karolina the hippy; Gertrude the responsible one; Molly the 11 year old. These six teens find out the terrible truth when a human sacrifice is performed in Alex’s parent’s basement.

Fractal Matter takes a look at the first episode of Doctor Who season 3.

Primeval, follows Nick Cutter (Henshall), a palaeontologist who along with his lab technician Stephen Hart (Murray) and student Connor Temple (Potts) heads off to investigate reports of a strange animal in the forest of Dean.

The writers really do believe they have made us care about these characters, whereas some of us are actively willing some of the characters to end up dead.

The US government has set up a bootcamp to train young super-beings in the responsible use of the powers, with an eye to filtering the best of them into Tony Starks 50 State Avengers Initiative

The issue opens in London, with John handcuffed to a pole and knee-deep in water, lamenting his lot. As he puts it himself on the first page, “Nowadays, I’m just the bloke who cleans up other people’s mess.”

Kevin Eastman and Peter Laird, originally intended to parody the popular comics of the 1980’s (such as the X-Men and Frank Miller’s Ronin) with a single issue self-published comic story; featuring an anthropomorphic team of four mutated turtles taught Martial Arts by their rodent (and also mutant) Sensai Master Splinter, and using these fighting skills in tackling crime from their home in the sewers of Manhattan.
